Brought 6 movers with them ...

"I will start off by saying a friend of mine recommended them and had a perfect experience. They moved her stuff into storage and then a few months later brought it to her at her new home. "Absolutely no issues and a comparable prices" was her feedback so we felt comfortable moving forward. We are so glad that we did.

When I contacted them they asked for a list of our items and got back to us right away with a quote. We also needed a storage unit until our new home is complete which they were able to arrange at a great price. We were very pleased.

The morning of our move they called us to say they would be late because of an issue with a truck. We expected them at 8, now they said 11. They ended up calling us at 9:30 and arriving to load the truck. They apologized and got straight to work. They also brought 6 movers with them! These guys were at our home for less than 2 hours and were very careful and courteous with all of our belongings.

We live in a three story town house so figured it would be a huge process, but these guys are truly professional and were able to get everything done quickly while still treating our things with respect. We had some things we were worried about- fragile items, a bed frame that is on its last leg, etc. They treated these things with extreme care.

There were no hidden prices/ fees, professional and nice movers, and most importantly they did a great job! I will continue recommending them to everyone!"

"I meant to leave this much earlier, but just forgot. I moved in June and chose this company because of some of the reviews here. I am over joyed with the service that I received especially for the price.

When I called the gentleman I spoke to was so pleasant and made me feel comfortable right away. I then received a great call from the owner giving me my quote. He was also amazingly pleasant and the cost was so low that I had to accept right then.

They were very professional and nice even when I added something on after the quote! The guys that came to move me were very nice and did a great job! I have told many friends about them and will continue to recommend them as movers."

What will the neighbors think ...

"Back in 1996 we needed a cheap local mover to get our stuff out of the mini-storage warehouse to our first Florida house. I don't remember how I found them but against my better judgement I called "El Cheapo" movers. Cost was definitely a factor at that time and they were definitely the cheapest. It was owned by a guy named Ward, a wiry young man with a nutty personality. His wife Terri handled the office work.

I guess I wasn't disappointed because I called him again in 2000 to move us out of that house and into a temporary apartment and then again a year later to move us to our new house in Hollywood Oaks. He and Terri were divorced by then. Truth be told, I cringed each time I saw the "El Cheapo" trucks pull up to our new addresses. What on earth would the neighbors think? Hahaha

I have been calling the major van lines to get estimates on moving us to The Villages. But as I perused the Yellow Pages I saw El Cheapo was still listed. Why not? I thought. Ward picked up on the first few rings and garbled something and I asked if I had reached El Cheapo. He said it used to be but after 30 years of taking ribbing for being El Cheapo, he changed the name of the business. Are you ready? Wait for it!

"I just recently moved once again and was very leary to use a mover again !! i called el cheapo spoke with ward the owner and it sounded too good to be true . the quote he gave me for all my furniture was very reasonable, and so now i expected what was gonna go wrong , my bedroom furniture is very expensive so is all my other stuff , fragile glass , delicate pieces of my dinning room etc... so the movers came and i cant tell you how professional, COURTEOUS and what an outstanding job mason AND the other two guys did on not only moving my furniture , setting it up at the new house and very polite guys might i add. i def would use them again , hopefully not too soon . thank you so much for making a very stressful experience so easy to handle."

"On short notice, I had to move a queen size Tempurpedic Memory Foam bed with the motorized/tilt/massage box spring platform from 33069 to 33317. So with 500+ friends on Facebook, I put it out there to the masses, and also relied upon Yelp, the BBB, and instinct. I found a company called "El Cheapo Movers". A guy by the name of Ward helped get the task done,

1) on time,
2) effortlessly,
3) in a thunderstorm,
4) without any damaged property,
5) in the span of 75 minutes,
6) as quoted and without any unexpected or additional charges,
7) for less than his competition,
8) performed by an English speaking and sober crew cognizant of their environment and task,
9) that took the time and effort to minimize any collateral detrimental effects of the process (like throwing down extra drop cloths to minimize tracking wet/dirt/mud into/out of origination and destination locations), and
10) not leaving me ANYTHING I could remotely complain about.

These guys rocked it! Tried calling Ward to thank him, his phone was busy. Highly recommend them, tipped them well and will definitely use them again. Finding a great moving company in south Florida is like finding an honest politician; I am blessed. Don't judge by the possibly suspect company name, these guys are the real deal. Thank you!!!"

"I scheduled a move with them at 8:00 in the morning and they were there at exactly 8. The pick up was in Fort Lauderdale and the drop off was in Miami Beach. The way they did the job made it fly by! I thought it would take at least 6 hours, they were done in 3! No items were damaged, they wrapped everything extremely carefully and did it without a rush."
